Unrecognized Charge from "Family Radar"?
Last updated: June 7, 2026
If you've been charged for a subscription you don't recognize and it's tied to the name "Family Radar" or "Famradar", please read this carefully — there is more than one app using a similar name, and the charge is most likely not from us.
ImportantAnother app called "Family Radar" was recently removed from the App Store. Many users charged by that app are reaching out to us by mistake. We are a different developer.
How to tell if the charge is from us
A charge is from our Family Radar app only if all of these are true:
- The charge on your statement appears as APPLE.COM/BILL or GOOGLE *Family Radar — not a direct merchant charge like "Famradar".
- The amount matches one of our prices: $7.99/month or $79.99/year. We do not charge $12.50, $19.95, $49.95, or any other amount.
- The charge happened on or after April 1, 2026, when our app launched. Anything before that date is not from us.
- You installed Family Radar from the App Store or Google Play and started a subscription or 7-day trial.
If any of the above is not true, the charge is from a different company. We have no record of you, no way to look up your account, and no ability to refund the charge.
What to do about a charge that isn't from us
If the charge isn't from our app, here is how to resolve it:
- If billed via Apple, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and dispute the charge directly with Apple.
- If billed via Google, open the Google Play subscriptions page to cancel and request a refund.
- If the charge is from a direct merchant (e.g. "Famradar"), contact your bank or card issuer to dispute it as an unauthorized charge.
- Look closely at the merchant name on your statement — it identifies who actually charged you. Apple/Google never share customer data with developers, so we cannot identify or refund charges made through other developers' apps.
If the charge IS from our app
If all four conditions above match and you'd like a refund, please use Apple's or Google's refund process — they handle all billing for our app:
- reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple)
- Google Play subscriptions (Google)
Still need to contact us?
If after reading the above you still believe the charge is from our app, email appfamilyradar@gmail.com and include a screenshot of the charge showing the merchant name, amount, and date. Without this information we cannot help.
