Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Family Radar ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Paweł Gajda ("we", "us", "our").
2. Description of Service
Family Radar is a mobile application that allows groups of users ("families") to share their real-time GPS location with each other, receive geofence-based notifications, and browse location history timelines. The App is available on Android and iOS.
3. Accounts and Registration
You may use the App anonymously or register with an email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Family Radar only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Track any person without their explicit knowledge and consent.
- Use the App for surveillance, stalking, or any other harmful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or servers.
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
Family Radar is intended for personal and family use only. All members of a family group must consent to sharing their location.
5. Location Data and Privacy
Your use of location features is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You grant us and the other members of your family group the right to view your location as described in the Privacy Policy. You may stop sharing your location at any time by disabling location permissions in your device settings or by signing out of the App.
6. Subscriptions — Pro Plan
Family Radar offers a free tier and a Pro subscription plan. The Pro plan unlocks additional features including extended location history, push notification settings, and increased family member limits.
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your platform.
- Subscription management and cancellation is handled through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Payments are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their respective terms.
- RevenueCat is used to manage subscription state across platforms.
- We do not offer refunds beyond what is required by applicable law or provided by Apple/Google.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property in Family Radar — including but not limited to the app name, logo, design, and code — are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Family Radar is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate. Family Radar is not a substitute for emergency services. Do not rely on the App in life-threatening situations — always contact emergency services directly.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
